Richard Smart
Dr Richard Smart is a globally recognised name in viticulture. He has a 40-year career as a researcher and consultant in this industry, and has made significant contribution to improving the wine quality and profitability of many viticulture enterprises.
He has authored one of the best-known vineyard management manuals, “Sunlight into Wine”, and writes prolifically for Australian and International vineyard trade journals.

Reuben Wells
  1. Reuben Wells is completing a PhD thesis in viticulture in Tasmania as a student of Dr Smart’s. He has been involved in the grape and wine industry since 2002, and has an Honours degree in Agricultural Science from the University of Tasmania.
  2. Reuben has also worked as a farming systems development officer in broad acre agriculture in Western Australia.
